An Educational Assigment

OK this has got to be the most educational assignment that I have done on this side of this year i.e. 2013.

A local Stockport Business did ask me if I would help them photograph their window for  their new 2013 Duck and Cover Range.  I agreed but boy O boy did this turn out to be one educational shoot for me.

I used 3 x SB600's ( 2 of them indoors, 1 of them outdoors) and 1 x SB900 (placed outdoors) in addition to some Pixel Bishop Radio Triggers in order to light the entire image above   As you can see then some of the mannequins are still standing in the shadow .  But hey I did not have...

A)  The Time
B)  Any More Speedlites or Radio Triggers

in order to sort this part of the image out, but hey does the image really need it any way ?
Right to sign off with then again this shoot has been a very educational shoot for me and one that I did truly learn from.

PS:  The last few shots are of the products that the shop owner did give me to say thank you for photography for the shop window :)

Product Photography

I've been spending quite allot of time in my studio recently with regards to learning how to light things.

The shots that you do see below have been side-lit with a continuous source of light i.e. LEDs.  I'm not sure about you guys but I for one am a sucker for these kind of product images, I think that the black background makes the product more sexy / attractive to the viewer.

Right guys I'm going to sign off now, but again it's product photography that I have been spending most of my time shooting :)

Yet Another Commando Style Photoshoot In A Freezing River

Yep, it's true I once again head out to be a model and this time my assignment is to once again play a commando in a freezing cold river.

Any way here is the video for those of your that may want to watch how we made the actual below photographs.

My New Anonymous Project

So I signed into my blogger account the other week i.e. this blog and I seen that I had received a comment from an "Anonymous Person".

Basically their comment was complaining about some of my photographic work / images (which I my-self like to think of, as being art).

Any way the "Anonymous" person in question started to give me this whole third degree thing about how I should be keeping my views (art) to my-self and how my photographic images / work is bad for business.

So "Anonymous" got me thinking here, which has now resulted in my self starting a new "Anonymous" photo-shoot thing, so here is the first photographs of my new "Anonymous" project.
